This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be available for purchases made from Rick Miller Marketing via AdvertisingBreakthrough.com (the “Site”), including participation in the Community Deal Card (shared 9×12 postcard mailing).
1) General policy
Due to hard costs (design time, print production, postage, and reserved category exclusivity), most fees become non-refundable once a job reaches certain stages outlined below. We strive to be fair and transparent and will always try to resolve issues promptly.
2) Deposits & reservations
- Category hold/slot reservation: Payments to secure an exclusive category are refundable within 48 hours of payment and before artwork begins. After that, the slot is considered held and fees are not refundable.
- Design start: Once design work begins, a design fee may be retained if you cancel before print submission.
3) Non-refundable stages
- After approval to print: Once you approve your proof (email/text confirmation counts) and we submit to print, the order is non-refundable.
- After print or mailing: Any job already printed and/or entered into the postal stream is non-refundable.
4) Cancellations & schedule changes
- Your cancellation: If you cancel before design starts, we will refund in full. If design has started but not yet approved, we may refund minus design time already incurred.
- We reschedule: If we must reschedule a mailing for operational reasons, we will offer the choice of a new date or a refund for that mailing.
5) Quality issues & reprints
If there is a demonstrated production error (e.g., print defect) that is our responsibility or our printer’s, we will reasonably remedy the issue (reprint or partial credit). Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery date.
6) Chargebacks
Please contact us first to resolve any issues. Filing a chargeback while a good-faith resolution is in progress may delay outcomes. We provide documentation to our payment processor (e.g., Stripe) including proofs, approvals, and timelines.

8) Exceptions
Custom arrangements stated in writing (proposal, invoice, or email) will control in case of conflict with this Policy. Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
